pre-press production for offset, digital, large  format and screen printing, and new media/ electronic imaging. They develop free-hand illustration skills and use the full range of

software in the Adobe Suite.

Apprentices learn fine art, documentary and commercial photography in both traditional and digital platforms. Through portraiture, product photography and computer-aided design

projects, teens learn to market their own commercial services and deliver client

specific solutions.


Painting introduces new apprentices to AFH and provides a solid foundation for all other artistic media, allowing youth to explore their identity and larger societal role in ways most have not previously experienced. Professional artist mentors teach youth the basics in drawing, painting, composition, design, and color

theory to develop fine art and create unique

solutions for our clients.

Our Video & Event Production studio brings your brand, story, campaign, or message to life with 3D motion graphics, explainer animations, promotional, human interest, how-to, event, social media and crowdfunding videos with integrated music, captions, and narration. 


The Studio’s mentors and teen videographers concept each video with scripting and storyboarding. After client approval, they dive into camera work, sound engineering, graphic design, digital editing, motion graphics/animation, web-readiness, and video production. The result is an impactful and engaging video with an emotional hook tailored to the work you do. 

Video & Event Production​

Our Animation Studio creates animated media, developing characters, employing motion design and scripting in the development of human interest, educational, how-to, promotional and social media videos.​



Teen artists have the opportunity to explore three-dimensional construction arts, offering creative solutions to meet client needs. Concepts are taken from sketch, to drawing, to model, to  full execution. They are trained on computer- aided drafting programs and conduct trials with materials to understand their properties and applicability to the project.

A new venture for AFH! A multi-media studio where teens employ both the creative process and technology to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional digital experiences. Combining art/visual design, user experience design and technology we bring creative concepts to life. Services include: complete website design, experiential or immersive online content, and digital experiences for products or events. AFH’s Creative Technology Studio cross-pollinates with other AFH studios to create immersive, audiovisual experiences, that are both functional and engaging, to delight and educate a target audience.
